Bio
PeteDawg is a hip-hop/rap emcee/songwriter and producer. He learned how to play the piano as a child but it wasn't until after high school in the mid to late '90s that he started rapping. With heavy influences from West Coast, Dirty South and the East Coast Hip-Hop & Rap, he found refuge and solace from the challenges of growing up as an American-born Filipino in the Bay Area through self-expression, writing lyrics. Soon after, his classical piano background steered him into making his own beats/instrumentals. After taking a long hiatus from music (while pursuing a professional career in competitive bodybuilding), the rejuvenated emcee/producer is back in the studio doing what he loves.
